Tour Diaries

Yoooo!  Tour Diaries!  Before this one fades into a somewhat distant memory... oh wait.  It has.  I do remember speaking to someone about a ferris wheel underneath the Brooklyn Bridge.  I remember feeling sad that there were no cactus and cow tongue tacos, although at the same time I was kinda ok that they didn't have em.  I remember also feeling pretty good about the fact that this was the...

This is my first tour diary on the new website interface. I like the big font.

Good ol' Fort Wayne. Got to see Irish Mike who gave me his lucky charm... a Massachusetts based
police badge and I must say it's been working. However, I can't take someones lucky charm... so gonna
have to mail that back. Nicest thing a man's done for me in awhile.

This was a weird...

This place was named for the attitude of the people who started it and all who they hoped would grace the stage. No matter who you are in the rock and roll business, you are always a little bit of a martyr for your own cause. Sometimes this band embraces that fact to see us through a long stretch. Such was the case before this show, when we played ten shows in ten nights while driving an...

We've been to Gerstle's once before, and if there's anything I took away from that show, it was the Gerstle's is the fucking place to be, and everyone in Louisville knows it.

Let's just saw that that fact was confirmed.

The awesome started when we first strolled in, loading our gear. The entire staff that was there last time remembered us fondly, from soundman to doorman to...

As you might expect, this place had an island theme. Somewhat off the beaten path welcome to a converted warehouse with two levels, a big stage and even some checkered and interesting history.

Seems this was the old workplace and stomping ground of the Compromise, the band from Nashville with who we were on a three gig run. So stories of when Vanilla Ice and Coolio came through were...

So much awesome.

Nashville, hell yeah.

The Compromise, hell yeah.

Taylor's moustache, oh hell yeah.

Some beer bingo with Billy and JD from the compromise before hitting the stage? Disaster. Well, not really, but we couldn't score a single win.

Had been a rough few days, and we were finally with good friends and were able to hit the stage right and lay down a...

Now this was a huge treat. As mentioned previously, we did a good morning America type thing for CBS that morning and got in a few hours of spatchka pre show.

We were zombies but it was fun and I shall put a link at the end of the tour diary.

JJs was a brilliant spot that I hope we get to return to soon. Due to our schedule we had to so skid-daddle shortly after our set as...

This tour has been a whirlwind. Around this time it became a tornado. But a good tornado. A tornado of love it you will.

After moving from Atlanta to Alabama, we were not only getting ready for tour stops in the hotspots of Tennessee, just also prepping for morning TV shows and all nighters to get there.

Frankly, when you are that stacked, you know things are going well. So sleep...

They have mahi mahi sandwiches at Eddies Attic.  They are damn good but not completely filling on this Monday night.  Delicious nonetheless.  So we were passing through town on our way to Alabama, and we stopped by to play a few tunes at this Legendary venue.

Last time round, in November, we had a two night stand with one being a proper gig and the other a promotional open mic shoot out...

The problem with running into Officer Curry is you want to party with him. He is just so eager to be loved, so desperate you want to console him and yes he likes to get down. But you have to be careful. Because once you pull out the illegal drugs, he will bust you on the spot.

So when we saw him this evening in a full jogging outfit sporting a bushy mustache, we immediately were drawn...
